Hi guys,
I want to share my experience with the TN so that maybe it helps someone in the same situation.
I had an issue during the Interview for TN visa. My offer letter said they were requesting an engineer (job title) and I am not (I hold a Bachelor’s of Industrial Design, although my professional experience is in engineering) So, I was denied.
The official told me to talk to my company and re-do the letter saying why they needed an industrial designer.
I followed the advice (HUGE THANKS!!!) I got on this forum and took the lead to re-do the letter saying only the category they were requesting, a brief description of what I’ll do and why my qualifications matched (making sure it was welll understood they are linked to what the Occupational Handbook says of my career’s activity).
I was approved 2 days ago. So my advice is: in doubt drop the job title and make sure your company requests you in the category of your educational background.
