TN Status with Staffing Agency?

I've been offered a 6 month contract to hire position. For the first 6 months I will be employed by an IT Staffing Agency (working for XYZ Company)and then I will be hired by XYZ Company, unless I prove to be a worthless employee of course ;).
Since I will be on the IT Staffing Agency's payroll I'm assuming my offer letter/request for approval of TN will need to come from the Staffing Agency.
Is this correct?

I've been told by an unreliable source that employment through a Staffing Agency is frowned upon at the border. Does anyone have experience with this type of situation?

Your TN is with the staffing firm, and that is fine. It should be worded in such a way as to allow the firm to send you to various clients, so that you are not required to get a new TN each time your job duties change, based on a different client's needs. You may not need this, but it is called foresight.

All my TN's, mail in and border, have been with "Staffing Agencies" I never had an issue in over 10+ TN's.
Make sure you do what nelsona suggests regarding the wording!
