TN Status Question about Joining and Moving

Hello Experts

I would need some advice about TN status and move.
From what I understand, we can only apply for TN 10 days or 2 weeks earlier from the joining date at the port.
I am working full time in CANADA and would like to give my resignation only when I get my TN as I don't want to be out of job if for any reason my TN application is denied.
I will be crossing the border and driving to my destination in US.
I don't want to unnecessarily burden the employer with USCIS application and fees plus 2 months wait for processing, as per the interview they are ok with me joining within 1 month.
The answer to the question I am looking for is.
Is it possible that the new employer gives me support letter for X Date and are ok with me joining within a month.
And I go to border 10 days before that X Date to file my TN and if all is good and I get my TN status, return back to CANADA from the port.
Give my current employer my resignation with 2 weeks' notice and go to US on Y Date let's say 1 week after my joining date.
What are the options? How everyone with a job does it? as 10 days are really to short notice.

Thank you in advance

Another question is can i have a offer letter and support letter with no starting date and just with term as (3 years temorary employment) rather then a starting date and ending date.
And after that go to port of entry and apply for TN come back and go at a later date after resigning.
Will there be an issue with it.

The "better" letter has no start date. Two weeks before a listed start date is usually ok. In either case your will only get 3 year less a day from the day you show up at the border.

Thanks for the Answer Nelsona.
I will try to ask then with no start date. Now if there is no start date i can go right away when i receive the letter to the border for procesing.
My other question is will it matter to CBP that if after processing i return back to Canada and go to US after some days later.
