TN & Spouse GC

My spouse has an H-1 and is being sponsored by her employer for a GC. Is it necessary for me (as a derivative) to also have an H or other dual intent visa, or is my TN status ok?
 
Your TN is 'OK' only until you file I-485, then you become like any other Tner that is going for GC: you need to time the submission of your AOS or CP paperwork with plenty of time left on your TN, so that you can get new status (either EAD or green card) before your TN runs out.

Note, that there is no need for you to file your I-485 at the same time as hers.
