TN Renewal POE - Where to give I94

I am planning to renew at POE in early Dec. However current TN is till Jan 10th.

When renew do I first surrender TN at Canadian official OR just take it back to the POE TN officer ?

Generally you keep your I-94s until you leave US permanently.

Since you are not leaving, you keep it, and the US officer will take it if he issues you your new TN.

Remember that it is good practice to keep a copy (front and back) of ALL I-94s issued to you (either at border or by mail).
