Hey all, glad I found you online.

Is there any TN renewal limits?

I've been working in the US under a TN work permit since Aug 2000, and I've heard through a legal friend that the longer one is under a TN status, which is not a dual-intent visa like H1B, the more suspect the case becomes to US authorities since it would be clear that one doesn't have a residency in Canada.

Your thoughts? Could I in theory be renewing my TN work permit for decades?

There are no TN term limits.

In fact, the longer you are using TN, which is a non-immigrant status, he MORE proof you have that you aren't intersted in immigrating.

There is no foreign residency requirement for TN.
I believe there are a couple of posters here that have been on TN longer than 10 yrs.

I personally know someone who has just gotten their 10th TN and others that are comming up on their 8th-10th one. They haven't said anything about being harder at all. When I was on my TN, my 6th was easier then the 2nd it seemed...

Good point for me. The long and painful GC process really turns me down. I would like stick with TN for years.
