TN (NAFTA) Visa for Canadian

I\'m seeking to apply for a TN Visa within the next week.
I\'ve been offered a job already wth a placement agency, and am trying to get everything I need together to apply at the Border for the TN Visa.
I\'m a certified computer professional with a technical certificate, however, since most of my work experience was in a venture on my own, I have very few outside claims of the 3 year work experience required, though I DO have it, and the skills, in actuality. I also did 2 years of college, though did not graduate, I\'m missing a handful of credits. Can this be applied towards the requirement of professional?

Any advice you can give would be very appreciated, as well as a list of all documents and procedures necessary to attain the visa.

TN Visa - NAFTA Visa for Canadian

The NAFTA Professional allows Canadian and Mexican citizens to work in the United States. They must be working in a jobs classified as professionals or as a NAFTA Professional. I read your forum on NAFTA Visa. You have three years work experience. So, you can apply for NAFTA Visa. Therefore, firstly you should meet a legal advisor about NAFTA visa process.

What a moronic -- and incorrect -- answer!

Bruce,

Neither your training, nor your lack of documanted experience, qualify you for a TN.

You need a 2-year post-seconadary diploma -- not certs -- PLUS 3 years of documented experience. The documentation can come from clients, co-workers, as well as from employers. But your lack of a diploma is your main problem.
