TN job category with Computer Science and Engineering degree

My spouse has a 4 year Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Science and Engineering . Spouse got an offer with roles and responsibilities falling somewhere between Software Engineer and Computer System Analyst (CSA).

Spouse’s employer is recommending to apply under Computer System Analyst. I feel it’s better to apply under Software Engineer as the degree is Bachelor of Engineering.

What do you folks recommend?
 
ambujakshi92, I recommend that work with the employer to write the job duties in such a way so that they highlight the CSA duties, and minimize the software engineer duties.

Agree with CSA category. Match the category to the education.
