TN issue

I am a Canadian citizen working in the US on a TN visa for over 3 years now. I just lost my job 4 days ago(May 19) and I am not sure what should be my next step. I am actively looking of another job. I am looking to relocate to another state where I have family and more chances of finding another job. I have read on the forum advices about applying for the B-2 status. How and where would one go about doing that?

Well, as you no doubt read, you needed to submit an I-539 on your last day to change to B2. uscis.gov

You can try to send one now, but there is a good chance it will be rejected, but it does by you more time.

You should be getting ready to move back to canada, not some other part of US.
