TN holder marrying an American

Hi all.

My boyfriend and I plan to marry in January 2009. We currently live in two different states, and my question is, after we file for the AOS and EAD, will I be able to quit my current job, move to his city, and look for a new job there while waiting for the EAD? I figured that after we file for the AOS I will no longer be bound to my current TN employer, but I'm not certain. My current TN visa expires July 2009.
 
As you correctly state, you are no longer required to keep TN once you file I-485. But you cannot work until EAD is in hand, and cannot travel outside US until you have AP in hand.

So no wedding outside US and no honeymoon outside US.
