I am a Canadian and has been working in the US for almost 7 years now, and contemplating on going back to Canada for good. My question is - can I withdraw the contribution I made to the social security? I Would greatly appreciate whatever info. you could provide me . Thank you.

You will benefit fromn the "Totalization Agreement" which will allow you to collect some SS when you retire, based on the quarters you have in US, and having worked for 3 years in canada.

You cannot get your SS back, and you should not want to.
