TN from Canada per diem

I am in last few months of a TN. I recently moved back to Canada for personal reasons, not unexpected, so my US company wrote my TN letter without specifying how many hours per week I would work. They would like me to work per diem one weekend a month until the end of my TN. The commute from my Canadian apartment to US workplace allows this. I have started working per diem in Canada again also.

1. Is there any problem with going from fulltime and living in US to per diem and living in Canada, same job same letter same company etc?

2. If I want to get another TN in future are there any rules or guidelines how long to be in Canada before applying again? thanks

Because you live in canada, you can get TN with little hours without problem. The current TN you have shoudl still be good since you did not specify hours on it. The only issue that *sometimes* arises is if you try to go down to US with a job with so few hours that you cannot support yourself (and are thus a risk to work illegally). But because you live in Canada, for now, you will have no problem.

Same for when you get a new TN. You can get one tomorrow if you wish. TN doesn't require having any Cdn residentila ties.
