TN filing through mail or Border

Here's my situation.
Worked with Client A on TN from 2008-2010
Working with Client B on TN from 2010-2012.

I have one month left on my TN with client B, meanwhile Client A has called me back and asked me to rejoin them.
My question is can i file i-129 and start working with client A?

You need to actually get the new TN before starting work.

So you are better off just going to the border.
