TN-1 Status Documents Checklist

Required:
Proof of Citizenship (passport)
TN Employment Letter (addressed to CBP with a mention of 3-year duration)
Original university degree
Official university transcripts

Not Required (but good to have when asked):
Current Job Offer Letter
Print-out of job posting (to show job duties)
Previous job's offer letter (proof of previous employment and experience)
Property deed (to let CBP know you plan on returning to Canada)

Anything else I have missed?

By the way, do I need to carry all of these documents every time I fly to the US from anywhere? Or, once I get my TN-1 status, I can cross between Canada and the US without CBP inspecting these documents again?
 
  1. Degree: evaluated to US standards if not from Canada or US
  2. Passports and birth certificates for kids and marriage certificate if applicable if you plan to get TD for them
  3. You don't have to carry docs every time you cross the border
