TN-1 for a part-time employment

If one applies for a TN-1 status based on part-time appointment (0.25 FTE, with a nominal salary), is it recommended that the employer's letter explicitly starts hours worked (10 hrs/week, or whatever it may be)?

Any other issues to be aware of in this situation? (E.g., if the adjudicator wonders "how you will support yourself', would it be appropriate to present an evidence of sufficient assets for the alien to essentially be, if desired?)

The letter should state the hours and rate. CBP could question your ability to sustain yourself, so be prepared for that, or convince them that you will continue to live in Canada.
