My cousin came here on H4 visa. For Insurance and driving license purpose she needs
to get a TIN (since SSN is not issued anymore) from IRS. According to IRS w7 form,
either we need to submit either original certificates or Notorized copies. I tried 10-15
notories here my location. Noone wants to notirize. Would someone please let me know
the process ??

Notories will only notarize a signature not a document

I got a TIN for my wife just yesterday. You dont need to notarize anything ...just make copies and get a stamp which says "certified true copy". This can be done for free at your bank.
The TIN will take at least 6-10 weeks. Plus you have to keep calling the IRS to follow up. Till now they have\'nt mailed it to me, but the lady gave me the TIN over the phone..so now I can file my taxes and get some money back :)
