Hello everyone i am new here and I feel great to be part of this great forum and now to business.

I send my N400 and timeline is as follow

As I am new to the process i am curious because as of today I have not received a single correspondence from USCIS yet but interestingley enough I took a looked at my canceled check from Bank of America and I found a receipt number on the bakc of the check. The receipt number while is not yet on the system is a bit weir and is as follow ESC $ 001-4XX-XXX has anyone on this site came across this kind of receipt number? please advised

I am also kind of sweting it because in 2005 I had an arrest and was convicted of misdermenour class b for obstruction of a highway. I pleaded nolo contender and took a deal of 9month unsupervised probation and paid a total fee of $ 300.00 can anyone tell me if this would be an issue on this process?

Welcome boysolo2539,

The ESC$ number in back of your check is your cashed check reference number. This is different from your case reference number that begins with ESC*. You can call USCIS and speak with an IO to get your ESC* since Texas doesn't include them on front of cashed check.

At a minimum you'll have to get the court disposition of your arrest and presen it at interview. If this is your only offense you should be fine, but it's best you contact an immigration lawyer specializing in criminal law to see how it can effect your case.

Are you saying you never even received the initial receipt notice? That is really odd.

I'm in the DFW area and I mailed my application around Jun 10th or thereabouts, so that less than 2 weeks before you and I got my receipt notice not that long after.

Maybe you should try and InfoPass to see if they somehow lost your application.

EDIT: My mistake. I misread the YEAR and thought you applied last year

Update ................. Little did I knew when i went to pick up my mail? a letter from USCIS was waiting for me and here is the update.

One more thing, according to the letter my N400 was being transfer to the NBC for processing. ....well we are still moving lets see when do I get FP letter by the way tehy gave me a different receipt number and is like this SSC*001-xxx-xxx..........
