Timegap when switching employments

Hi,

I got my H1 transfer from A to B in Feb 2006, I ended my employment of Mar 10 and joined B immediately, but they did not provide me offer letter during that time.I got project on Mar 20 so they give me offer letter indicating that my date of join as Mar 20.Company B is refusing me to give date of join as Mar 10.If I sign this letter will I be in trouble? How can I justify for these 10 days?Please advice.

If short gap is serious problem, a LOT of H1 employees should have screwed when they got laid-off. I haven't heard many horror stories regarding these H1s.

10 days doesn't not sound like a big gap to (atleast) me!
