time to spend in US for USC not used to live in US

Hi folks.
This forum used to be very helpful and I really appreciate ppl who take time to answer concerns. I have a question regarding my AOS. Is there any time period that a USC who never used to live here shd have to spend in US before his spouse apply for AOS. I searched but did not get a clear answer. any kind of help from any kind soul here will be appreciated.

Your wife needs to be domiciled in the US in order to be your sponsor. Since she is not earning, you need to find a joint sponsor so the minimum income reqirements are met. Alternatively, you can show assets from your country. Look at the instructions from I-864. This is important.

You can file for your GC when she is in the US. No waiting period is required for her. (For you)Some lawyers think its a good idea to apply for AOS 60 days after after YOU entered US using B visa so USCIS does not get suspicious of your intent.

Both you and your wife have to be present here in the US for your interview. In order to prove that your marriage is bonafide, you need to collect proof like joint bank account statements, joint lease/mortgage, or if you had a child from your marriage that would help more.

As for your forms, she needs to fill I-130/I-864 and you fill the rest. All forms must be sent to the chicago lock box as a single package. If you have more questions, ask away.
