My i485 was approved on July 05, 2002. Did stamping at newark on July 17,2002. Cards were ordered on August 02, 2002. Cards recieved on August 09, 2002. After stamping moved. Changed address by phone only. Didn't fill any forms. Recieved cards at new address. Who says INS dosen't work efficiently?

How do you order the plastic cards

Hi

I got my stamping done on 08/12 and wanted to know how do you order the cards. Is it automatically done by them. How did you come to know that they are ordered on specific date. Please post your reply.

Cards are ordered automatically

Once you do stamping at your local INS office, they will send your file back to INS Vermont office. They will order your cards. You dont have to do anything. Call INS phone 802-527-4913 and enter your EAC number to check when your cards were ordered. It takes atleast 3 weeks from day of stmping your cards will be ordered. Once your card is ordered it takes atleast a week to reach your home via snail mail.
