Time taken once assigned to IIO

Hi

Does anyone know how long it takes to receive any info once our case has been assigned to an IIO? This is regarding VSC.

Nobody knows, its a black box...

On the 14th I spoke to IIO, she said not yet assigned. 24th my case was approved! I see people waiting for months after getting assigned.
 
No pattern at all...

While Virochan\'s case took less than 10 days, mine had been assigned to an officer for months (since March, 2001). First there was an RFE issued in April 9. INS received the response to the RFE on May 3rd and after that took another 3 months and 7 days to finally approve on August 10th.
 
Yes no pattern at all....

please check my previous postings (anyway I am including the details).

  I called 4 weeks back, IIO says the case is not assigned an officer, but I might hear something soon.

  2 weeks back my lawyer calls IIO, only to hear IIO say a 4 month waiting period.

  Last Friday I got my 485 approved.
