time period to get citizenship in VA

Hi,
I am greencard holder living in Roanike, VA and now I am able to apply for my citizensip. I hava a quick question.

How much time it will take to get a citizenship if I apply for it from Roanoke, VA.

My wife lives in Atlanta, GA... Please let me know if its better to apply from Atlanta, VA or Roanoke, VA.

Many factor influence the total time to process an application. For example, USICS just released figures that indicated that applications sent after June 1 may take 16-18 months to process due to the flood of application received during the summer. However, this does not mean that your case will take 16-18 months to process..it could be less , it could be more. So it's difficult to rely on a time frame on processing especially if your applying in order to sponsor a relative later.

Bob answered many points. I know VA comes under VSC, goes GA also comes under VSC. for n-400, lot depends on local district office also.

one way to judge speeds is which area has more immigrant populations. ie in your guess which area has more immigrants potentially applying for GC, USC etc. you could guess that area is slower.
