Time outside US

I don't think this is the right place, but after 485 appoval, how does USCIS keep a tab on how many days one spends oustide the US. Is there a stamp when I leave/return back in my PP? Any info is highly appreciated. Thanks

I have one more Question plz..

From when does the INS start counting the 5 yrs for Naturalization... from the time u get the card? or the time I-140 gets approved??
