Could somebody tell me, how much time it will take now for H1b & H4 extension, if I apply now ?

Please advise ,as I am planning to go to india soon ?

---------- depends on service center, it may take 2-4 months, I have seen few cases from VSC getting extension approved in 10--15 days. if you file premium processing you can get extension approved in 15-20 days
Please advise ,as I am planning to go to india soon ?

I am planning to go to india soon, so if I apply now, as per Ginnu's comment it can take 2-4 months to get extension paper.

So my question is, whether I can get visa stamped on the PP with the receipt number , when i am in India?

Please help me ...

-------------- if you have valid visa stamp to come back and have 15-20 days on valid I-94(that you will get at POE after visit) then apply H1 extension once you are back to US. Extension must reach USCIS BEFORE I-94 expires
So my question is, whether I can get visa stamped on the PP with the receipt number , when i am in India?
------------ for H1 visa stamping you need H1 APPROVAL notice
