Hello, i have been lurking and decided to join in

anybody have experiences with San Diego?
I barely went to get FP done on 06/06/07

does having a common name makes the name check a pain?

i remember that it took few extra days for the green card, as someone had my name and birthdate, just lived in a different state, so I had to wait for that to get cleared up.

I hope that situation won't come t hunt me down again, as I never had any troubles,
other that one traffick ticket in 2003

Hi there, may I know your priority day? Because I filed on May 1st (Priority Day of May 2, 07), so far I have not received Finger Print letter yet. Thanks for your advice.

I had my fingerprints taken this morning at the Calexico Application Support Center which is a sub-office of San Diego. My timeline should be in my sig.

While I was waiting one of the officers made a remark to another that the N-400 processing had really been slowed down, that they had received only a couple to take forward. First I don't know if this remark applies only to Calexico (which is my guess), and, second, the Calexico office just moved buildings and I was told that files and people are still moving.

I asked about my likely timeline and was told could be weeks or months. With paperwork moving offices it all depends if my files moves now or later. He told me to forget about it and then it would be a nice surprise when I get my interview letter.

Again, let me say this was in Calexico, but it is part of San Diego DO so it may or may not be relevant.

Detailed singature please

Thanks for the information tangodancer.

Carlitos/Tangodancer, Would you please update your detailed signature? It would be a great reference from time line perspective.

Hi TangoDancer, How did your finger print appointment go?

Went pretty easy. I had a couple of 'match not found's on the machine which the officer retook, though I think there was still one outstanding. Hopefully that won't be an issue. From start to finish I was there maybe 10 minutes; my kind of INS office visit.

Now I wait.....

Good to know. Good Luck for Interview letter.

Reading the other posts I see many people got a hard copy of the Civics Questions book and a CD when they got fingerprinted. I didn't get either :( No big deal since I already downloaded the booklet but I wonder if they forgot to give it to me or perhaps that doesn't happen anymore.

hey

when i went to take my FP, there was a stock of books next to the guy checking people in, and he would just hand one to each person
i did notice he skipped few people, but i dont know if it was because he forgot or they were doing FP for green card or something else

My guess is that the Calexico office was still unpacking them. Hey, I see you've already overtaken me in the timeline :(

Finger Print Notice

Finally our Finger Print notices arrived in mail. I have been tracking it online but there were no updates at all in last few weeks. Message is still same "Current Status: Case received and pending".

Notice Date: 06/28/2007 and FP Appt Date: 07/26/2007.

It seems they are consistantly giving approx 3-4 weeks time from the notice date to appointment date.

Good Luck to all who are waiting.

Finger Prints Done

We went for finger prints on 07/26/2007 (actual appointment date). There were about 10-15 people for the Finger Prints, it took about 30-45 minutes. They don't allow any cell phones to be carried inside so you may think of leaving them in your car only. They took Finger Prints of all 10 fingers and that was it.

One down two more to go....
