time limit for first time entry

Hi,

I am planning to invite my parents on my graduation.
If they get visa, is there any limit on time period in which they should enter States. I have heard that one should enter within 6 months of getting visa.

Any kind of help is appreciated.

Karan,
They can enter for the first time even on the last day of their visa's validity.
