time interval bet. end of studies and OPT start date?

someone please help.

Studies (on F1) finishing on june 30, and job offer (on OPT) is for job from Oct 20. I know that OPT form has to be filed BEFORE finishing your studies; (that will be before june 30 in this situation).

my question: -
is there any Maximum time period, after finishing your studies, beyond which you can not start OPT.

what i mean to ask is --- should the job start earlier than oct 20 in this case? If yes, what is the longest time period by which one can get/start OPT after the studies are over?

within 14 months after end of study

i searched the USCIS website and found the answer:

****** A student must complete all practical training within a 14-month period following the completion of study *********

I just went through this a few months ago. You can delay your OPT up to 60 days after graduation. If you find a job before that though, you cannot change the date back.
