I got my GC approved last November, employment based. My husband filed I-485 in May of last year (2005) as my derivative. Yesterday we received notification that his case has been transfered to the Indianapolis office and he will be scheduled to appear in an interview. My question is, from your experience, on average how long does it take from the moment the file is transfered to the moment you receive the letter scheduling you for the interview? Would we be forced to wait much longer? His EAD expires in August and would be great not to need to renew it and finally get the GC.
