Once the date becomes current for I-130/I-140; how long does the candidate have to file the I-485? If the candidate had gone past the filing time, then what can he/she do to file the I-485 without loss of time?
To file, you send the 485 to INS!! Do it before PD retrogress (not likely to happen for employment based 485s for sometime). If the PDs do retrogress, your 485 will be put on hold until the PD become current.
