Time for each stage in CP

Can someone please confirm if the following estimates are reasonable?


Time for I-140 to reach NVC from Service Center ---> 2-3 weeks

Time for NVC to send out Packet-3 -------------------- > 3-5 weeks

Time for NVC to receive, validate and forward
Packet-3 to the respective Consulate -----------------> 7-8 weeks

Time for the Consulate to schedule interview -------> 8 - 12 weeks


Would really appreciate it if people who are going through the CP process can give me their opinions on the above.

From the date of I-140 approval, it should not take more than 5-6 months, ideally. But, again there could be some cases where it was less and more.

Some of my friends received in 3-4 months, since they followed some shortcuts by cutting off lawyer completely. If you cut off lawyer, NVC would correspond with you directly. I did not do that and my process from I-140 approval took me 6 months.

Not a legal advise. Just to give you some idea.
