Ticketing..effect on GC

Relax. Most of the traffic violations (except drunken driving, using vehicle as weapon) are considered civil infraction or misdeaminor. They are not crime. Therefore, just don't worry about silly mistakes of life. :) :)

BTW, there are people in this forum who got approved after getting caught for drunken driving. And I personally don't know anybody who has a GC, but never got a ticket before GC approval (probably my friend circle is really bad).
