Your I-130 will be approved during your interview. Be prepared for I-485 with all the listed documents and you will be fain.

Fed,

Your timeline doesn't include the date on which you received the interview letter and you interview date... would you mind sharing these dates as well? Also, what's your DO?

I see ND for your forms is Feb 06, 2006... if you've already received the NoA for interview - that's FASSSTTTT!!! Don't worry about I-130... that'd be approved along with your I-485. :)

Edit:
I read your other thread to find that you received your NoA for interview on Apr 24, 2006 and your interview is scheduled for Jun 15, 2006. Would you please share your DO?

Thats strange.According to the NBC Timeline (posted on 04/21/2006) the NBC was processing I 765 with ND of 02/03/2006.That means u received the EAD(MAILED) in 61 days....woaah...that was fast.

My Do

My Do is Louisville Kentucky.Yes i got my Ead in 61 days .My case has been handled really fast it seems i just hope everything goes well for my interview.Does this mean that i will be getting conditional residenc, since i got married in November 2005.I noticed some people in this forum who applied earlier than me and are still waiting on their interview and Ead how is it that people who applied first are being made to wait longer than some people who applied after them.e

Louisville... I was there at one time :).

Yes, you would get a conditional GC first - anyone whose I-485 gets approved earlier than her/his 2nd marriage anniv, gets a conditional GC.

One would think that USCIS processes the cases in the order in which they are received but the timelines seem to tell a different story. But then again, each case is different - some may require additional processing steps, others may not. For example I read in one of the (SOP) documents for processing I-485 that they perform a 'record check abroad' on form G-325 only if the applicant entered US less than one year ago.

Steps like these could well make a significant difference in the processing time and may explain why some people have to wait more than others... I'm waiting :)

I would think that more populated areas would go slower too just due to the numbers of people involved. In NY I had to wait forever, in Indiana I think mine is going really quick in comparison.

You're absolutely right, the number of people filing, along with the processing capability of a DO is probably the biggest cause of difference in wait time from one DO to another. However at the same DO, I have seen people had different wait time - which I believe is due to the cases requiring slightly different (read additional) steps than others. Well, at least that is what I tell myself when I see people having gotten a GC in within 3 months. It's all good as long as it doesn't go over 180 days as they mention in their online message.

OK PEOPLE,

FORGET about the I-130. Why is it that everybody worries so much about it? When you file for AOS concurrently, it's the I-485 that matters! You need to track the timeline for the I-485, you need to go get fingerprinted for the I-485, you need to get interviewed for the I-485......

It's the I-485 that will get you the green card! Forget the I-130 and its approval... people have sat on approved I-130's for years waiting for the I-485 to get approved! I'm yet to hear of someone with an I-485 approved/ready to be approved but waiting for the I-130's approval.

This is definitely different when the filing is not concurrent (as in spouses of green card holders) or in the case of consular processing. But in our cases, family based immediate relatives of USC adjusting status, the I-130 approval is not at all indicative of the gaining permanent residency.

Thank You (Rant over) :)

Am getting confused with your timetable: you wrote FB for

10-03-06 - If my assumption is correct does this mean october 3rd 2005.

I think you need to rewrite your ND dates, maybe you are using the british system where the date come b4 the months

But the I 765 is processed at the NBC independant of the DO.

Have you called the USCIS on your EAD yet? When 90 days had passed since filing, my husband set up an INFOPASS appointment. The INS officer told him that his EAD had been approved on Day 61 and issued him a fingerprinting interview. He got fingerprinted the next day and then got his EAD three days later.

Call USCIS or get an INFOPASS appointment.

The online status didn't show that your husbands EAD was approved already? Did you guys get an RFE at any point?

Yes i am using the british system where the date comes before the month. If you are getting confused just think about the dates and you would realise it does not make sense if you put it another way because half of the year has not been gone yet.Sorry for making it so confusing .

how can you have a notice date of october of 2006, are you appliying for citizenship in another foreign country because you have me confused, when in Rome do as the Romans comprende?
