This is Wonderful - FP after 4 months of I-485 filing !

We have received FP notice yesterday (11/29). Filed I-485 on 07/26/2001 (receipt date and priority date) whereas notice date is 09/19/2001. This is in Hartford, Connecicut.

I guess it must be based on the I140 approval date.

INS processes your 485 application based on the 485 receipt date (which they call priority date). So your initial priority date (labor filing date) has no significance now, however it must be current to process your case. I think now they\'re processing FEB 2001 I-485 receipt dates...
