This is regards to EAD

My EAD going to expire in Next month. And currenlty I don't have H1B too. I applied last month. So far I didn't receive EAD card. From positive side I hope I will get before that.
From Negative side what will happen if I don't receive EAD card. Does any know what will be my status. Can I get any temporary EAD card ?

If you don't receive your EAD before your H1B expires, you don't have to worry about your status. Your status of "adjustee" is valid as long as your I-485 is pending and it doesn't depend on EAD. However, you won't be able to work until your EAD arrives, but that's a different issue.

As far as getting an interim EAD, I believe it's possible only if your I-765 (EAD application) has been pending for over 3 months. But the regulations on EADs have been changing a lot recently, so I'm not 100% positive. Hopefully, someone else will chime in on this one. Also, do your own research in this forum, as well as at www.uscis.gov.
