Hi,

My green card and my wife's green card were both approved in September. No RFE and no interview. We went to the Boston office in October to get our passports stamped and recieved our cards in November. Everything was perfect ... A few days ago my lawyer received a notice from the INS (dated in February of this year) saying that preliminary processing had been completed on my wife's derivative petition and that her case had been transferred to Boston for an interview. My lawyer thinks this is a mistake because they've already approved the application and mailed the cards. Anyone out there got a similar request after approval?

Thanks.

RD = 11/15/01
AD = 9/23/02
Cards Received 11/05/2002

ins might think they made a mistake on your application. you know, it's too early for 2001 nov. rd filer to get an approval in sep. 2002. so ins want to double check you case for some reason.

I'm sorry, my details should have been:

RD = 9/21/01
ND = 11/15/01
EAD = 11/29/01
FP = 1/11/02
AD = 9/23/02
EB3 Canada
EAC-02-038-5XXXX

(I pulled out one of my INS notices which of course had the ND of 11/15/01 in place of the actual receipt date of 9/21/01)

Once again, I apologize.

Thanks.
