Hi,
My Labor PD is Sep 2001
140 Approved June 2004
I 485 RD date is May 19, 2004
Got my finger printing done in July 2004
My wife got a medical RFE in Oct, sent details back to them within 14 days.
Since then there was no change in out status. So when our priority dates became current, Our lawyer requested a status update and USCIS came back and said, awaiting security clearance/check, don’t contact for another 180 days.
I contacted USCIS on Mar 30/31 requesting update, they said the same and there was LUD change on Apr 1, but no change in the actual data behind it.
My wife called USCIS yesterday and this really nice person answered the call and she was surprised that no decision was made on our case. So she took our Alien #, WAC numbers and address said she is going to make an enquiry and we should get a written letter from USCIS within 30 days with a status update.
I don’t know if this good or bad, because when my lawyer made the enquiry USCIS clearly said don’t contact us for 180 days, but we did.
I just wanted to share my experience with you guys and any input you may have
