Filed for spouse derivative I485 on June 2007 and received I485 receipt, EAD, AP approval's
from California service center but were assigned same A# number to both primary and derivative.
Later case status changed as follow
we transferred this I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR
TO ADJUST STATUS to our LINCOLN, NE location for processing because they now have jurisdiction over the case.
after that we have not received any finger print notice so called USCIS they scheduled for finger prints on 20th Nov 2007. The thing is notice says that my wife's finger prints are expired. she never gave fingerprint before notice say that finger prints are expired they are going to retake finger prints. That is because may be due to assigning same #A number.
but we just went and gave the finger prints.
on Dec 20th 2007 I485 case status changed as follow.
Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR
TO ADJUST STATUS
Current Status: This case has been received from the State Department
with a request we review it.
On October 12, 2007, a USCIS office received this case from the State
Department with a request that we review it. We will notify you when we
complete our review, or if we need something from you.
Experts and Gurus please tell me what does this means.
please let me know if some one in the same situation.
It looks like USCIS messed up my case by assigning same #A number to both
Derivate and primary applicant.
I am struck in Security Check since 2004 Feb and both I140/I485 pending since then.

filed I140/I485 on 2ed Feb 2004
Name Check pending since 2ed Feb 2004
Renewed EAD/AP 4 times.
Filed AC21 after working with Employer more than 4 years after filing I140/I485.
Since company has merger and at the same time my 7th year H1B also got denied, Due to June Visa fiasko EAD approval took more than 4 months can't continue Job so transfer 8th year H1B to new employer
based on 8th year H1B receipt I continue working legally.
I have no choice I140 still pending due to name check but filed AC21 GOD know's what will happen.
filed MTR through merger companey got approval for 7th Year H1B
but 8th year H1B still pending.
waiting for 8th year extension which is filed in premium it is more than 4 months still pending.
Starting my entire Green card process Right from scrach with the new employer
as AC21 when I140 pending is not recommended but can try based on situation once I485 is pending more than 180 day's
My CASE is big MESS and Immigration is big mess and my case is perfect example.
