things to do after approval of green card

Hi everyone...

We had our interview at the counsalte and we just entered US with our immigration visa..I have things to ask you...( Before we were in US with our H1B and H4 visas..)

1. When i was feeling ds 230 form i requested a ssn card . Will they send it to me by mail ?

2. My husband has already got a ssn card..Does he need to get a new card? Because on his card it is written thet he can work bu authoriztion of DHS..

3. If he must get a new one, must he give the old one to ssn ?

4. Should we update our status in SSN ?

5. We haven't received the green cards yet ? We will file the tax return for 2009. Should we add any information about our change of status as we only have the immigrant visa on our passport ?

6 . Does he have to fill any form in his working place about this cahnge of status ? When does he have to if he needs to do ?

7. dOES HE need to give a copy of his green card to his working place ?

8. How long did it take to receive your green card by mail and ssn card ?

No!

Yes, either in person or by sending 2 certified copies...no notorized copies of ID.

Yes!

When the question is asked you have to answer it as asked, if not you don't have to submit anything.

Yes!

They will make a copy they need to see the original and SSN card.

8. How long did it take to receive your green card by mail and ssn card ?

My friend had hers in 12 days.
