there is no word "category" and no mark A6s on Greencard

I do examine my husband’s GC and can not find no one word pointed out on his Asylum Status.

Are you sure GC has this?

This card has some funny dates.
Card Expires in 1994
and he is resident since 97??
How did he get card before 94 when he is resident since 97. Didn't make any sense. I hope it is just a sample card with fictitious date :p

This card was circulated to INS officers in 1999 when card format changed from old plastic laminated card to this credit card like card. INS usually redesigns GCs every 10 years to combat fraud and give fresh look to GCs.

Also a good thing I like about this format is that it says "Permanent Resident Card". Old GCs said "Resident Alien". Somehow "Alien" seems to be a very obnoxious and insulting word.
