There are different opinions about all these checks, their intention and the outcome. So far not even a single terrorist was captured, only a couple of other criminals like sex offenders and a murderer (see Eduardo Aguirre's statements, in the Nixon Institute, the Summit Institute (Canada), the Senate and other events). These people should have never been allowed to be free in society in the first place....See also AILA's comments about the way these checks are done and on what applications. An almost total waste of time, money and resources. The Jusice Department, DHS and others never bothered to allocate EXTRA security resources. The result (posted in DHS / Press thread) is the following:
From a total of almost 4000 adjudicators, about 1000 (25%) of them are ONLY DOING SECURITY CHECKS!! this is the actual problem, I believe.
