the worst case ever, need advice!!!!

FBI told me our name check were cleared 2 years ago, while after USCIS reviewed our cases, it still insists that my name check is still pending. -- USCIS claims that FBI sent their result for another candidate but with my A# mistakenly -- which is why FBI thinks my case is cleared but it is not in fact.

Anyhow, isn't this worst case ever? Now USCIS is still waiting for name check approval from FBI, while FBI keeps telling me our name check were cleared 2 years ago.

I don't know who i should believe at this point. and I don't know who I should seek for furthur help?

Does any expert have some advice on how to handle the case from here?

already done so, still same response from USCIS after they reviewed our cases after they got the letter from FBI

Submit your case details with copies of all correspondences to Ombudsman.

who is ombudsman? sorry for my naive question, i did a quick google search and i found that is an official pointed by goverment? is there a specific office for each state? or there is a one for natioan wide?

Ombudsman is a federal officer who recommends resolution to problems and monitors USCIS. He can be reached at cisombudsman@dhs.gov
