The validation time of EAD card

Dear all,
Today, I just got my EAD card, have not been happy for too long and found that the card only valid for 4 months. What I should do after it expired? BTW, I am on H-1 visa, I do not need to use this card. But it just so confused. Can anyone help me here?

Thats surpring as EADs are usually for one year!
are you sure its not printing error.
 
The date is printed on the card, both on my husband and my card. My I140 has not been approved yet. Do you think it is because of that?

Need expert help, Is the 4-month valid time normal for EAD card? Is this a mistake USCIS made or It is because of my waiting I140?

Anyone has the same experince, could you please share? very appreciated.
