hi people

i am doing i864 and seems like my oversea earned income wont be count into the income requirement, i am thinking to put my assets into it as well.

does anyone know do us immigration check the source of your money came from? do they do a background of your money funding.

i reported my tax on time and precise, just wonder will they background check your money so i can prepare to explain.

thanks.

They're more concerned about the length of time you've had the assets or cash, because if you just got the money last month it might be somebody else's money that is temporarily in your account to help you meet the immigration requirements.

So if you have cash, they'll want to see that most of the money was in your account months ago. Or if you got the cash from selling something very recently, they may ask for proof of what you sold to get the money.

I had the stock for more than a year. So is the time good enough?

Also, on part 6 13abc of i864, what will my income will be? Since ALL of my earned income is oversea. So do i just put 0 since the us immigration wont count or i should just put the actual amount i earned oversea?

Thanks.

Yes, that is good enough. For the I-864 include the last 3 months of statements for the stock account, plus 2 or 3 older statements (say 6, 9, and 12 months ago).

I answered that in your other thread.
