It has been a remarkable and long journey.

LUD: January 2004, June 2004, 07/06/04, 08/17/04.
EAD and AP: First, second, third.

The highlights and lowlights:

January 1980: Welcome to the USA on F1 visa in NYC.
Fall 1980: Transfer F1 to NJ.
January 1983: Bsc
January 1985: Msc
1985-1989: PhD studies (never finished)
Left USA, Came back sometimes in 1992, I think.
1992: B1 Business visa
1993: Extension of B1 and First H1B, Work in Long Island
1994: Second H1B, Work in NJ
1995: Third H1B, Work in PA
1996: Fourth H1B, PA
1998: Work in Asia up to 2000 on H1B.
Welcome back to the US in 2000, Married.
H1B seven year extension: RFE, Granted on AC-21 basis
LC started in 2000. Approved in FAll 2000.
I-140 First applied in late 2000. RFE on the I-140. Approved in early 2001.
Company closing. Transfer. GC on hold. First Layoff notice (never actually happened).
2001 Summer: Second layoff notice (never actually happened either).
I-140 amended in 2002. First EAD, AP
I-485 applied in 2002.
2003: Second EAD, AP
2004: Third EAD, AP.

A total of several passports, visas, extensions, RFEs, four different companies and a journey like no other, you get a GC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow...It is a long 20 years journey as opposed to most people in this forum who landed in this great country in the late 90s and got their GCs. I came here on H1 in 99... Well, you seem to have lots of patience...
