For all those who are trying to solve the mystery of LUDs, here is a sequence of events in our cases:
1. 8/23/2004 - Reported Change of adress by calling 1-800 number
2. 8/27/2004 - LUD changed to 8/27/2004 and the message changed to " On August 26, 2004, we have responded to your request of more info..." for our I-485 cases
3. 9/10/2004 - Our attorney recevied FP notices for both of us, no change in LUD or the message. The FP notices are dated 8/31/2004 and they were scheduled for the first week of Oct.
4. 9/16/2004 - LUD changed to 9/16/2004 for our I-485 cases and the message changed to " On September 16, 2004, the document we made based on the approval or registration of this case was mailed directly to the person to whom issued". I guess they finally mailed out our copies of the FP notices.
5. 9/17/2004 - LUD changed to 9/17/2004 for I-140 and all of our I-765 and I-131 cases (some of these cases have been approved more than a year ago).
And during all these status changes, I never got an email. I thought there was a problem with the email account I used. To test it, I just changed my password on USCIS site and I got an email confirming my password change
