Kiran, A question for you. My lawyer sent me a mail informing
that they have received the RFE today for my ND 0f 9/99. INS
is asking for an updated employment letter. MY lawyer asks
me to mention the same title as it was at the time when I filed
my I485 in 99. Since then my title has changed (improved) and
my salary has also improved. She says that the salary raise is
not an issue but that i should mention the same title and not
the new and improved title. Does this make sense??

Info will be appreciated.

I am sure Kiran will respond in detail, as long as your job description
has not changed I don\'t think title matters. Because of this
issue my lawyer used very generic title for me from the start.

Your situation may be different, but I would follow lawyer\'s
recommendation.

I guess the question is would your employer do this for you?
May be ask them to not to put any title at all, just use a
generic job title like software programmer, digital IC designer, etc..

Hope this helps,

-LJ
