The Confirmation Numbers and the Chance of winning

Dear ALL,

I'm a veteran of DV lottery program.

I have been applying for last couple of years with no luck.

On previous occasions, when I got my confirmation number it was always year number followed by 1. e.g. 20121, 20101.

However, when I applied this time my confirmation number has number 3 followed by the year number i.e. 20153.

I wonder what is the significance of these numbers?

I never changed my country of Chargeability. It is the country I was born in.

I want you to post your confirmation numbers here and the result i.e. whether you were a winner or not.

Let's solve this puzzle for betterment of all.

Poor choice of forum name.

Regarding the entry numbers they carry no special significance as far as the winners versus losers.

The word 'Paki' is a slur in England?

On topic: the number is generated right after the entry while the 'lottery' is run only after all entries have been received. If the confirmation number decides the outcome of the lottery, then the lottery must be conducted real time (entry by entry), which is not possible because they don't know how many people will enter at any given period.

Don't waste time with baseless speculations, just be patient and check your entry in May. This is a lottery, so treat it as such. Whenever I buy a lottery I just keep the ticket then forget about it until they anounce the winner, as I never count on winning.

The word "Paki" is not a slur. It is a slur when it is followed by another word starting with the letter B.

The word "Paki" by itself is considered neutral.

Just ignore this Id and concentrate on the question being asked please.

The word is most definately offensive in Australia, whether or not it is followed by another word or used by itself.

I'm with Hexa on this one; I see no relevance in the numbers. There are so many theories on this forum regarding infinite possibilities on what is primarily a random draw. The numbers are for identification and verification of entry/submission alone I suspect.

My info is now carefully tucked away in a multitude of places until I bring it out full of optimism in May.

Still working hard on my here and now, while pondering the "what ifs" every once and a while to bring a smile to my thoughts, just like all dreams do :)
