the best way to transfer H1B visa?

Hi,

I have an issue. I am currently negotiating a position with a company other than my current employer. If we reach to an agreement, I like to take the job. However, I am on H1B visa and that creates some questions in my mind that I hope can be addressed here.

When should the transfer process start if I take a new job?
As soon as giving the two weeks notice of resignation? If yes, how can I trust my employer that my boss will not get mad and fire me at that point and cancel my H1B the same day or next? I guess if new employer had not applied for H1 transfer yet, I would be out of status right there.

Can my prospective employer start the visa transfer anytime while I continue to work with my current employer until I catch a good time to tell that I will be gone soon?
I want to be just safe and not loose my legal status.

After transfer is approved, can I go abroad, take a short vacation and get my visa stamped before even starting working with the new employer or should I have paystubs for that visa get stamped?

Many thanks

Anytime new employer is ready.

You do not need new visa stamp with new employer if you already have valid stamp.
