The alien number on my I140 aproval notice is different

The alien number on my I140 aproval notice is different my the on on my I94. It it a typo or you get a new number once I140 is approved?
Any input appreciated.

Make sure to tell INS. I am not sure. In my wife\'s case, Alien No was different in 485 receipt and finger print notice. Her approval was delayed by 3 months. (She was derivative applicant, I was primary applicant)
