Yeah, good luck to everyone. Two things that helped speed up my case:

1. Try to get colleagues from federal agencies to contact USCIS on your behalf. This triggered my I-140 approval.

2. Contact your state senators in person. I tried writing them, but talking to them face to face really made a difference. My I-485 was touched two days after I met with one of the senators here in California.
 
Congrats nscagony!! Please pray for me also ....my attorney is planning to submit her response to RFE (EB1-OR) on I140 petition in a day or two.

Your suggestions have been very helpful. I applied for NIW/EB2 july 30,2007 at TSC. Receipt date 8.13.07. It has been more than a year but I have'nt heard anything. Is there anything , my lawyer can do to know the status of my application? I mean, do immigration lawyers have special access to USCIS?
